Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Hi Kathy. If your new ball cracks when it's drilled by a pro shop, bowling.com will replace your ball free of charge! Manufacturers' warranties typically do not cover for cracking during drilling and drillers are not held responsible for their mistakes or defects in the ball.

how does the reaction of the Ice compare with the Mix?

Hello Jim. The Storm Ice and Mix are spare balls and will only bowl straight.

The difference between Ice and Mix are coverstock. Mix is a spare ball with urethane cover which can be use as a strike ball. Ice is all plastic, so it will go straight

Answer:
This ball is going to relatively straight depending on the amount of spin you put on your ball. Personally i have lots of spin so i can get this ball to hook and strike as a strike ball

Question:
I currently roll a 13lb Storm Ice, like that it's straight. Would a 14lb Storm Ice give me more action? I get a lot of 9s.
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Both bowling balls will go straight but the 14lb could give you more carry through because it is heavier and this could give you a little more pin action.

Question:
Wife throws a reverse hook and leaves too many 10 pins on a short oil condition. Please suggest a ball with better backend reaction
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Storm Ice Storm Blue is a spare ball meant to just go straight. If you wanted something stronger on the backend than what you have we would need to first know what you currently have. You would probably want to get a pearl coverstock ball to get good length and a strong backend and make sure the next ball is a step up in the performance level compared to the ball you have now.

Question:
If im a starter what ball would you recommend
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
If you wanted to bowl straight then this Storm Ice would be a good option but if you wanted to have hook potential on the ball then you may want one of our entry performance balls like a Storm Tropical Surge.

Question:
Does it come with a thumb hole drilled? I'm a two hander so I don't really need it if it comes with it
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The ball starts out without and holes in the ball. We do offer a basic drilling option for $14.95 on some weights but you may decline this if you would rather get it drilled locally so you can custom drill it exactly how you want it.

Question:
Will this be a good option for a 6 years old?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The performance of this ball would be just for a straight bowler. However, this ball only goes down to 10lbs. If you needed a lighter weight like 8lbs or 6lbs then you may need to look for an option that is available in those weights.

Question:
Can it be drilled to have a little hook
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
There are not any features on this ball to help give it hook potential. If you were to get in drier conditions you may be able to hook this ball but it would just be from the spin you put on it and not from any features on the ball.

Question:
Is this ball good to use for strikes or is it used just as a spare ball
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
You could use this as a strike ball if you wanted but it will not have any features to help give it hook potential. Some bowlers do not hook the ball and this would be a good option if you were a straight bowler to use as a strike ball.

im using 16 what weight i will use for my spare ball?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
It may be a personal preference. Some bowlers like the consistency of using the same weight on their spare ball and performance ball. Other bowlers like to drop down 1-2 lbs on their spare ball to get better speed to help straighten out their spare shots.

Answer:
To see the size chart you may click the "?" beside the drilling option. The span is the distance between the finger hole and thumb hole and the finger holes size is the width or diameter of the hole.
