PABCON

We're going to continue our dreams of having bowling in the Olympics and hopefully it will happen soon.  Until then though, we can always tune in to see Team USA at PABCON. Team USA was able to bring home the PABCON gold medal in men's doubles this past Tuesday at the 2012 Pan American Bowling Confederation Adult Championships.  The gold was brought home by Team USA's Bill O'Neill and Tommy Jones.

Even though Jones and O'Neill the combined tally that they put together of 2,805 was constructed by 1.436 from O'Neill and 1,369 by Jones.  The event took place at Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center.  The gold medal on the women's side of things didn't go to Team USA as the medals went to Colombians Rocio Restrepo and Maria Jose Rodriguez.

The USA men's doubles team took the lead in the second game and never came close to relinquishing their lead.

"Winning a gold medal never gets old, especially when I am able to do it with one of my best friends," O'Neill said.

Team USA almost had a clean sweep of the podium, but ended up finishing with teams in first, second and fourth.

As far as the women's division went Team USA's Josie Earnest and Stefanie Nation finished up in a tie for fourth place with teammates Diandra Asbaty and Leanne Hulsenberg.
