Wife used this ball for the first time today 1-08-24 at our favorite alley in Salisbury NC and she was blown away by how it handled. She was used to throwing a T-Zone Deep Space plastic ball, but she NEVER touched it once she started using her new Magenta Rhino. This ball is dead on. Even I was impressed with it.
This ball gave her a slight curve right before the headpin, either right or left, just a tad. This ball didn't skid like her plastic did, it just rolled. She loves the color and sparkle.
She whooped me the first game, and almost the second..
I liked this ball so much, I may get one myself.

Wifey is starting to wanta curve a ball and she's having a tough time doing it with plastic. As for me, hooking a ball isn't a problem, I'm currently throwing a 25 year old columbia yellow dot, which I love.
It's time to move the wifey's game up a tad. She'll "hate" this ball til she gets used to it..

Brunswick Rhino Magenta/Purple/Navy
Here is my take on the Brunswick Magenta/Purple/Navy Rhino. This particular Rhino has a solid reactive cover with an inverted lightbulb core. Box surface is Factory Crown Polish. I have drilled one with a 50 x 4 ¾ x 30 and have thrown it on a verity of THS.
Even though the Rhino is an affordable price point release, the ball actually has great performance for the dollar. This ball will work very well on wet/dry THS, lighter volume patterns and potentially on shorter sport patterns. Those with slower ball speeds and/or who are rev dominant players may find success with the Rhino.

The Best Entry Level Ball
I have two Rhinos and I have shot five perfect games with them. It's my go to ball when the Lanes get tricky with the wet dry conditions.

For beginners looking for their first ball all the way to advanced bowlers looking for a ball for when the lanes are dry, the Rhino is a great option. 5 color choices in all, 4 pearl and now a solid resin option with the Magenta/Purple/Navy. Using the trusty Light Bulb core and the R16 coverstock, both have been a staple with the Rhino line for years.
With the out of box surface of 500 and then finished with Crown Factory Compound and Crown Factory Polish, I chose a layout of 65x4.25x35 (the same as my Radical Bowling Technologies Counter Attack Solid) to help get the ball through the front part of the lane and not be too jumpy off of the dry. My intentions with the Rhino is to use this ball when the lanes are fried, especially on longer block format tournaments and on short oil patterns as well. I’ll give it a chance during league on a THS but probably not until later in the night …and this last year I was wonderfully set with the DV8 Verge Pearl as my closer.
The Rhino Magenta/Purple/Navy Solid really is a sharp looking ball and I’m digging the fact that Brunswick (and associated manufacturers) are starting to use sparkle in their additive packages as it totally adds to the shelf appeal in pro shops, your bowling bag, and on the ball return …and of course going down the lane and through the pins as well.
The Brunswick Rhino is a wonderful choice as a first ball for a beginner bowler and is in their Affordable/All Purpose range. You’ll get more performance with the Rhino line than the Twist line which is rated as Affordable/Control.

Technically all of the current Brunswick Rhino bowling balls have a R-16 Pearl Reactive. I think we may have some showing R-16 Reactive but they are all pearl.

While they both have a pretty comparable weight block, the Rhino has a little weaker coverstock than the Track Tundra Fire so I would give the Rhino an advantage to work better down into some drier conditions while the Tundra Fire may handle medium a little better.
