Pros:

Very readable.

Cons:

Probably not too much hook if used in heavier oil.

Best Uses:

Drier House shot

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Straighter IS Greater ! Clears the front with ease,

Been struggling with my higher end balls over hooking, can’t find a good line for more than a few shots. House seems much drier. A lot of over under. Anyway, bought this Rhino to help me not lose my mind with frustration! Played this straight up the second arrow area. The Rhino goes straight and long and it just makes a nice move down lane and hits with a ton of power still. Nothing fancy, just a nice motion toward the pocket. Drilled mine for max length, pin above bridge, but it still covers quite a few boards, but not jumpy. Very smooth. A LOT of performance for the price. “Entry level” labels are kind of deceiving. Should just say “less overall hook” because this ball will make you look like you’ve been bowling for years if used in the right conditions. I’m very very happy with it.

Question:

What is the best approach and aiming point to get this ball to hit the pocket from the correct angle. I can't seem to get it to hook more than two inches. Should I bowl a tight line, or move further right (I am right handed) to get an angle into the pocket.

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There are a lot of variable to consider on this. This ball will probably hook the best in lighter oil conditions and if you are in more medium oil or higher then it may not give you a lot of hook. Also, I am not sure if your rev rate or ball speed is helping or hurting the ability of the ball to hook. If you find a place that you feel comfortable standing and find an arrow that you feel comfortable with throwing toward, you can try that first. If you miss to the right of the pocket then move your feet right but keep aiming at the same arrow. Do this until you get the ball to get to the pocket.

Question:

Is this ball a solid?

10/6/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball has a R-16 Reactive coverstock. I am not sure that if that is a solid or pearl unfortunately but if this is a solid reactive it is designed to have a lot of length due to the strength of the ball and the polished finish so it will react more similar to a pearl cover.

Question:

I’m a natural hook left handed bowler. I need a ball that gradually hooks and snaps at the pocket. What do you recommend?

10/8/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is designed to have a hook potential on lighter oil conditions. It will go down the lane fairly straight for most of the lane and then have a backend snap hook at the end of the lane. So if you needed something for lighter oil conditions this may be a good fit.

12/7/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Question:

What is drilling protection?

1/10/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

When you take the bowling ball to your local proshop for them to drill the ball the drilling protection will cover you if the ball chips or cracks while they are drilling the ball. If this happens during the drilling we can reimburse your drilling cost and replace the ball for you. To see more details click the "?" beside the drilling protection option.

Question:

How much more response in terms of curve can I expect us I need a rhino as opposed to a rack ball

5/31/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

House balls do not have any feature that would help give them hook potential. This ball has a coverstock designed to give you hook potential and a weight block inside to give you hook potential so it is a pretty noticeable step up from a house ball.

Question:

Is there such thing as an XXL size of the finger holes? If so could I have them on a ball I would like to order from you?

8/19/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Unfortunately we do not have an XXL option at this time so if the XL measurements would not work you may prefer to decline our drilling and have the ball drilled at your local proshop.

Question:

will this ball always hook, even if you are trying to bowl straight?

3/6/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

If you throw this all straight then it will still go pretty straight. To get this ball to hook you would have to release the ball with spin and also be throwing this in the correct lane conditions and this ball can read the spin and hook on the lanes.
