Take time to break these in
Good quality Dexter shoe. Velcro is super strong. The H5 heel that comes with the shoe is too aggressive for my game and stops me short even with the S8 sole in place. Ordered the normal rubber heel (also H5) that I believe (per the Dexter website) will provide a bit more slide and consistency. I ordered a number of soles to be prepared for all types of approach conditions. The problem with the replacement soles is that you have to cut them to fit. Come on Dexter!!!! Why can't you offer these replacement soles already cut to size? Tracing and cutting them by hand is ridiculous. I have a pair of old SST4's that came with several different replacement soles...already cut to size and they fit perfectly. Overall good shoe. Comfortable and appears to be well built. Great traction on the non-slide shoe. Two stars off for the aggressive H5 heel that comes on the slide shoe, only the S8 sole comes with the shoe, and the fact that all replacement soles are sold separately and need to be cut to fit by hand by the customer.

This shoe is unique because the pads on both shoes are removable and the pads will fit either foot. So the traction sole can go on the left or right shoe and the slide sole can go on the left or right shoe so this shoe can be right handed or left handed just by switching the pads.
