Question:

Isa this ball good for a low speed down and in player?

9/20/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, this is a very good match to play a down and in shot and the length will help with bowlers that have a slower ball speed because you need the ball to go longer so it does not roll out too early. When used in medium oil conditions this ball will work perfect for this.

Question:

Will the 10 lb. ball have any hook reaction

11/13/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is not made in 10lbs unfortunately. You could go down to the Storm Match Up Pearl to get 10lbs. This ball will not have much of a weight block in 10lbs but the coverstock will still give you a decent hook reaction.

Question:

If you order a 15lb or 16lb what weight will be sent. I was also wanting to know does the top weight and pin placement matter with the newer balls when ordered

11/19/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

It is common for the ball to come a few ounces over the weight requested so that after drilling the ball will be very close to the exact weight you ordered. You may request the exact weight you want by entering this in the specs box. The pin placement and top weight do matter and they can effect the drilling layout you get on the ball so you may talk to your local driller to see if they have a recommendation for you to request so they can get a specific drilling layout for you.

Question:

Is this ball good for me if I have low revs rate?

12/13/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

If you have a high ball speed and low revs then you would not want this ball. It is designed to read later on the lanes so low revs and high ball speed will not give the ball much time to react. However, if you have an average to lower ball speed this could work fine. It is rated for medium oil but with lower revs you could use this down into some lighter oil conditions also.

Question:

How does this ball compare to the Strom Electrify?

3/10/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

These options are going to be very close and similar in a lot of ways but the Hy-Road Pearl will be a little stronger hook potential. They both have pearl coverstocks and a polished finish to help them read later on the backend and both work well in medium to lighter oil conditions.

Question:

Where Is the ball drilled at

5/15/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

We offer a custom drilling option for this ball but you will need to have your measurements in order to fill out our drill sheet. If you do not have measurements from a previous ball or drill sheet then you could not fill out our drill sheet and we could not do the drilling. You would have to get the ball drilled locally by your local proshop.

This ball is considered a mid performance ball so if you want one step up you may consider an upper mid performance ball like a Phaze III or IQ Tour. If you wanted a more noticeable step up you could go to a higher performance ball like the Dark Code or Infinite Physix.

Question:

I’m 62 and just getting back into bowling after 6 years or so. I have a 15 lb Storm Pyro and a 15 lb Storm Reign of Power, I play on house lanes that are oiled before our morning 55 and older league. I was thinking of dropping to a 14 lb Storm Hyroad Pearl. I would like your thoughts on this and also I throw the ball 11.5 to 12.5 mph. What do you think? Thank you in advance. Dave

10/19/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This would give you a more similar length to the Pyro due to the pearl coverstock and polished finish. This ball may not be quite as strong as the Pyro was when it was new but I am sure over the years it may have lost some of the hook potential so the Hy-Road Pearl could be a little stronger since it was going to be new. The Reign of Power was duller out of the box and would read much earlier on the lanes than the Hy-Road Pearl. The length of the Hy-Road Pearl will be good for a slower ball speed so it should be a good compliment for you.

Question:

i throw a right handed backup ball way over on the left side. would this be better than the night road? i am deciding between the two balls. thanks!

2/20/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

As long as you have the ball drilled to match your style (backup) then you could really use any ball. So there is not one ball that works better as a backup ball than another. So whichever option you like better just make sure they drill this correctly. The Night Road is tweaked to be a little stronger reaction so if you wanted something more aggressive you may go with the Night Road. The HyRoad Pearl can possibly work a little better in lighter oil conditions so if you want that versatility you may prefer the HyRoad Pearl.
