Perfect starter ball

Great for learning the basics of hooking a ball. Very smooth down lane, with good backend motion. Very reliable first ball.

Hammer Raw Solid

I gave this ball a 5 star not because it is the biggest hooking, most flare potential, or prettiest. It got 5 Stars because it gives exactly what it's suppose to. It is the low end ball that is needed in every arsenal to play on burned up or low volume or short pattern shots. This ball is very smooth and does not overjump when it sees the friction. You're not going to use this ball all the time, but when you need you'll be glad you have it.

Great Mid-lane Motion, Good finishing power

house shot

Out Performs it Price!

I bought this ball thinking that I would only play straighter and to get a weaker ball reaction on the house shot and would throw it only occasionally. I was wrong. Not only is it quickly becoming my go to league ball on the house shot but its versatility is very impressive. This ball has a nice smooth lane motion with good finishing power. It definitely out performs its lower mid price.

Performance at a GREAT PRICE!

My Hammer Raw Solid is drilled 55 x 4.5 x 30 and this baby is a monster! I have yet to try this ball on a sport pattern, but this ball is now my first ball / go-to immediately on a house shot or league. I kept the surface as OOB and this ball allows me to keep my angles in front of me on a fresh house pattern! I can't wait to try this ball with some more surface and see more versatility.

Pros:

Great on variety of patterns

Cons:

Not to be used on longer patterns

Best Uses:

Most medium to short house of sport patterns

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Control

Raw solid is definitely a great piece to have that works on variety of patterns ranging from medium to short. With the solid covers it's able to read the heavier volumes up front and give you a very controlled and readable motion in the backends. I pretty solid piece on house conditions that let's you stay up against the friction for a longer period.

Raw Hammer Black

I am pleased to see the Raw series reappear! This Raw Hammer Black is a great piece to introduce new players to our performance and for our more experienced players, it's a great piece to smooth out shorter and drier patterns. Definitely has a spot in my bag for when they get tricky and a bit scorched.

Question:

comparison 0f hybrid raw and black raw

5/13/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

With Hammer you can compare the balls using their FCC rating to compare the strength of the Finish, Core, and Cover. The Raw Solid is Finish-8.5, Core-5.25, Cover-9 and the Raw Hybrid is Finish-7.5, Core-5.25, Cover-8.75. So the Solid will have a stronger finish and cover to give it more hook potential. The Solid also reads earlier on the lane while the Hybrid reacts later on the lanes. This also causes the Solid to work more for medium oil while the Hybrid works more in medium to lighter oil.

Question:

Can I get a 14 lb 8 oz ball

1/5/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

To request for the exact weight to be 14lbs 8oz you will need to click the link just below the weight selection box that says Click to request pin / top weight . This will open a text box where you can specify the exact weight you want. If you do not specify this in the specs box and you just select 14lbs from the drop down weight box then the ball could technically come with a few ounces over 14lbs. I will say that 8 ounces over the weight is very rare and not common. We can usually find something about 4 ounces over the weight but anything more gets very hard to find.

Question:

Can this ball be drilled to break long

1/19/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is not designed to go longer out of the box because it has a duller finish but there are some layouts that will help the ball go a little longer than other layouts. If you wanted more length you may prefer one of the other Raw bowling balls that has a polished finish.

Question:

I am getting a raw hammer. 10# drilled fingertip. I'm not able to throw my 13#. How will my ball roll and hit being a 10# ball?

3/19/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

A 10lb ball will not drive through the pins as easily as a 13lb so you would need to get a good angle to the pocket to help the ball carry through.

Question:

how does this ball compare to hammer vibe

4/2/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Hammer Raw series is very similar to the Vibe series but the Hammer Raw Solid Black will come out of the box with a duller finish which will give this an earlier reaction than any of the Vibes and this also helps it have more of an overall hook than the Vibes.

Question:

Will a 14 lb hit hard

4/28/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, 14lbs will still have a lot of drive through the pins. If you are dropping down from a heavier weight then you may notice it carry quite as well as a heavier ball but with a decent entry angle to the pocket you will still have a lot of hitting power.....and nothing hits like a Hammer!

7/12/2022 - By
