We always suggest to go no lighter than 8lbs, as 6lb balls have a much shorter life span.

No it does not. We do offer basic drilling w/ FREE protection that is $14.95 if you would like for bowling.com to drill it for you. If not, it will come without holes and you can have it drilled at your local pro shop.
