Storm created the Electrify line of bowling balls to offer value performance along with control in motion. This line of balls works well for beginners to pros. The Electrify bowling balls feature the Circuit Core which uses a lower RG and medium differential to offer accuracy. The Hybrid version of this ball utilizes the Reactor Hybrid coverstock which produces mid-lane traction and is great for bowlers looking for more control with a smooth backend reaction on medium to light oil.

The bowling balls have a very similar reaction actually. The Electrify has a slightly earlier weight block to give it a little smoother reaction and because it starts to read a little earlier it may also cover a few more boards overall.

I have lost some of my ball speed as I get older. (I'm 66 )My arsenal is Timeless, Sonic pearl, hy road solid and this last year I got a Rhino which the first game in league I threw a 279 with. I like the rhino but on dry or burn I still struggle because of my ball speed. Would the ball be a good ball for me to help me with control or is it to close to the Rhino? My top ball speed is around 13 mph.

This ball will be slightly more aggressive than the Brunswick Rhino so on drier conditions this would try read a little earllier and stronger than the Rhino which may not be as good if your ball speed is slower. You could try a Storm Mix option to get something weaker than the Rhino if you need something for really dry lanes that won't over hook on you.

This will be much less aggressive than the Golden Jackal. The Golden Jackal is designed to handle heavier oil while this is more for lighter oil. They both have good length so if you needed something that is similar to your Golden Jackal but for lighter oil when the Golden Jackal is too strong to use, this could be a good back up option.

I throw at a speed of 15-16 and I currently use a 13# Storm Hy-road Hybrid and it is my favorite ball now but, I now have to go down to a 11-12 pounder and I want to try a new ball how does this ball compare to the Hy-road Hybrid, Phase111, and Storm All-Road? What ball would you recommend for my speed and weight limit also I tend to stand on the left far of the lane and throw the ball in between third arrow and forth arrow on the right? The best past ball I ever had was a code red and I dearly misst hat ball I work the best with it so I am looking for a ball similar to the Code Red

If you were going to 11lbs the Electrify Hybrid would be the only option in your selection that is offered in that weight. However, if you go to 12lbs you do have all three options. The Phaze III has the R3S Hybrid which is a newer version of the R2S Hybrid cover that you have on the Hy-Road. The All-Road out of the box is a different type of hybrid and finished at 4000 grit so I feel like that may be the most different option from what you have listed. The Electrify Hybrid will still be a decent option because it has the same finish as your Hy-Road but it has a slightly weaker hybrid cover. So you could go with something a little stronger in the Phaze III or something a little weaker in the Electrify Hybrid. We also have the Hy-Road still available too if you prefer to just drop the weight but keep the same option.

The Hustle PBR comes out of the box with a duller finish so that it will read earlier than the Electrify Hybrid which has a polished finish to go longer. They both are designed from medium to lighter oil conditions so the biggest difference is the length.

Yes, this could be a good backup option to the IQ Tour. The IQ Tour is rated for medium-heavy oil and it has a 4000 grit finish which reads some in the midlane but has good continuation on the backend. This Electrify Hybrid is designed to work in medium to lighter oil so when the lanes are drying out and the IQ Tour is getting too aggressive on the lanes, you can drop to the Electrify Hybrid which will get more length and work better in medium to lighter oil.

You may be able to use this but it does have hook potential so any spin you have on the ball will be read. If you prefer the ball to go straight there are less expensive options that will go straight. You may look at the Storm Ice or Storm Mix series.

I am 70 and have not bowled in 40 years. When I quit i used a AMF 3 dot and averaged 200 in league play. I would classify myself as a left handed stroker. I want the ball to start between the first and second arrow left and go long with late break. Will the Storm Electrify Hybrid work for me? Will probably go with 14#. Suggesting other balls would be appreciated.

The Electrify Hybrid has a polished finish which will help give you good length before it reacts so that will let you play down and in on medium oil conditions. It can work down into some light oil conditions too but it will be a little stronger and it may start a little earlier as you get down into some drier conditions. But being left handed you will not see the lanes dry out as quickly so you would be able to use this most (if not all) of the the night with no problem.
