Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid
The Black Widow ball nameplate is one of the most successful of all time. The Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid upper-mid performance bowling ball continues that success as a ball that wasn't created to replace any of the current Black Widow balls but to complement them. This ball features the HK22 bas resin with the Aggression Hybrid additive package and is paired with the notorious Gas Mask core. This combination creates an aggressive reaction further down the lane than the Black Widow Ghost ball on medium to heavy oil conditions.

Widow 2.0 Hybrid
The Widow 2.0 Hybrid is a great all-around ball. I can use it on our house shot as well as patterns. It allows me to open up the lane but not get the over/under reaction of other assym. pearls.

Great Ball for medium rev players
This was the first strike ball I bought and I’m still using it now. This ball brought my average up from 110 to 150, and has raised my high score from 172 to 221. Great ball around and definitely recommend it.

Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid
I drilled mine 45 X 3 ¼ X 65. The Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid is a special piece. We all highly anticipated this ball since the Black Widow line has become one of the most trusted lines in bowling. This asymmetric hybrid includes the Gas Mask core and HK22 with the Aggression Hybrid additive package. This combination produces fantastic results. I love the shape of this piece when I am looking for a ball to provide me with length but not lose any energy. The Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid is a very versatile ball and an excellent blend ball on patterns.

Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid
This ball doesn’t disappoint!!! It’s as clean as the 3D Offset Attack but finishes harder and more continuous. This ball in my opinion is more forgiving overall. It’s very clean through the fronts but doesn’t quit when it gets down lane. Even when you miss right this ball still has enough energy to get through the pins. I always get excited when a new Widow ball comes out. Now with the addition of the HK22 cover this ball will make an appearance on a variety of conditions!

Best ball I’ve ever bought! Always the first ball I take out of my bag
Best ball I have ever bought, I’ve rolled my highest scores ever being 257, bowled countless 200+ pt games. Always the first ball I pull out of my bag and very rarely do I ever have to make a ball change

Must have ball in your bag.
First, let me just say wow. This ball is amazing. The hype over this ball is worth it. Drilled 45X4X35. This ball allows me to play any line I can imagine. I can slow down and open the lane up and still rely on the continuation of the hk22 cover stock mixed with the amazing core to get the ball back to the pocket. I can play straight up, throwing with more speed, and still kick the corner pins right out. If you are looking for the perfect High-Performance ball, this is the one to take the field.

The Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid is my best hybrid, so far! It gives me good length down the lane and OMG the monster truck on the backend! This is a great transition ball for me after my solid’s. That pretty red steps in and doesn’t miss a beat!

HK22 and Widow core - great combo!
This is the most versatile Black Widow I have thrown in a long time. I have been able to use it on many different conditions, and have been able to use it longer than most balls at this level. On fresher lanes, the ball gets down lane and makes a strong move, allowing me to open the lanes up faster than normal. After the heads start to go, I am still able to get this ball down lane, and the reaction is still there. Definitely a must have!

Hammer has taken it up a notch with the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid. Pairing the Gas Mask core with the HK22 produces amazing results. Great recovery off the spot. Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid
This is one of the best releases ever of the Black Widow line. It compliments the 2.0 perfectly. Very much like the Black Widow Ghost, but for me gets down lane a bit further with more pop in the back. It often reminds me of the original Black Widow Pearl but twice as good. This ball is a must for your arsenal!!

Black Widow!!!!!
Black widow with HK22!!! What’s not to like. Length and a very aggressive backend motion. Layout 50X4.75X40. Digs super hard when it sees friction. Cover is very good with surface adjustments so there are no worries to tinker around. Proven for years and more to come. Got to get this one in the bag. Don’t miss out. Great for all players and styles.

Adam Barta's review of the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid
Another great Black Widow ball. This ball is just like the original Black Widow Pearl but a little cleaner in the front part of the lane because it is a hybrid and then stronger off the back part of the pattern. This is a great ball for when the lanes transition into more hook and you are looking for something that is not going to hook too early. This ball performs best for me when the lanes are dry or when the hook spot is defined on the lane. This would not be a ball to use when there is a lot of oil on the lane as it has a hybrid cover and is designed for length and hook. If you have any questions or think I can help you with anything please feel free to message me on Facebook on my page Adam Barta "Barta Nation".

The Black Widow line could be described as the most recognizable and trusted line in bowling. The Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid features the innovative HK22. HK22 and the famous Gas Mask core creates a reaction further down the lane and a sharp breakpoint. I was able to pop off a 300 in completion right off the press. Strike Machine!
I'm getting back into bowling after 7 years and I bought this ball to help and it certainly did! It came fast and I had it drilled for me pin up. First ball I threw I knew this was the ball I was looking for. On only my 3rd game in 7 years I was hitting strike after strike and it just feels great in my hand, it wants to smash pins! I had the Black Widow Assassin before this and it was a good ball too (until it cracked), but this one is far superior in feel. I'm not a super sophisticated bowler and I don't know all the ins and outs or the lingo. But as someone who just started again, I highly recommend this ball. It is wonderful.

Oh baby!
If you were a fan of the Black Widow Ghost then this needs to be your next ball. The Hybrid allows me to play the same line as I do with the ghost but gives me an earlier reaction and a little more pop off the spot. The HK22 cover basically took the ghost and added some teeth. It will quickly become a staple in your bag.

Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid
This ball HOOKS down lane. The HK-22 cover is very smooth through the front of the pattern. Have used it on a house shot and challenge pattern in tournament. Very forgiving on house shots. Shots missing out come roaring back, gets the 10 out but sometimes leave the 9 pin. The shots missing in sit and carry the corners well. On challenge patterns, it gives you room to miss out and it will come back. Shots missed in are bad, but the cover helps it push down lane. Overall this is a ball i am going to keep in my league bag and tournament bag. Hammer has a winner in the Black widow 2.0 hybrid.

Widow Hybrid 2.0
I was able to punch up the new Hammer Black Widow Hybrid 2.0- the latest addition to the iconic line of Hammer bowling equipment. The Widow Hybrid 2.0 features the proven asymmetric gas mask core wrapped by the Aggression Hybrid cover with the HK-22 additive designed to enhance ball motion on oil. The color is a vibrant red and black and factory finish is Crown Compound. The videos were shot on fresh Kegel Neon which is our THS. The layout is 45 x 5 x 30.
The intent of the new Black Widow Hybrid 2.0 was to be a little stronger motion than the Widow Ghost. For comparison purposes, I threw a shot of a Widow Ghost with a similar layout. Compared to the Ghost, the Hybrid 2.0 moved me a little further left, looked at the same approximate spot at the arrows and as a result, opened the angles a little more. The Hybrid 2.0 showed, from what I saw, a fairly quick response off the friction. The comparison videos show the difference between the 2 Widows. They are close but I do see a difference. The Widow Ghost made a number of telecasts last year and I expect that the Hybrid 2.0 will follow with equal success. Like all prior Widows, I expect many different styles, speeds, rev rates etc. will find success with this ball. My sense is even with the shinier surface, the Widow Hybrid 2.0 will be at its best on medium to higher volume patterns. I expect that depending on layout, a variety of pattern distances will be in play.
The Widow Hybrid 2.0 is readily available. See your local pro shop for more information.

Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid
Hammer's latest and great that is a home run, touchdown, slam dunk, and everything else you can think of! If you loved the Defender Hybrid, this is another must! Might be the way I drilled it, but I feel this is a step up from the Defender Hybrid. The Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid loves FRICTION!!! Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid
I drilled my Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid the same as my Black Widow 2.0 and Black Widow Ghost, which is a 60 x 4 x 30, pin up layout. For me, the 2.0 Hybrid is a little earlier and has a more rounded shape down lane than the BW Ghost. I have been able to use it on my medium oiled league shots without modifying the factory surface and has been a great step down ball from the Hammer Envy Tour. I feel like this ball will fit in every type of bowlers bag! It’s a must own!

Black & Red - 2.0
A perfect complement to the original Widow 2.0. However, with my layout I used - this ball out of the box was not as early as I wanted and not as strong as I wanted. It hooked down lane, but when I moved in on my centers pattern – the ball seemed wiggly. I decided to hit it with a 2000 abralon pad and leave it at the finish. WOW! This ball is a beast now and really fits as my 1-2 punch with the original Widow 2.0 . Smooth and even and strong down lane motion when moving inside as the lane transitions. Don’t sleep on this ball!!!!

Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid
The Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid is pretty special. When Brunswick came out with the Defender Hybrid with the HK22 cover formula I thought, "wow, this is awesome." Now Hammer has pieced together a cover and core combination that I like even more. This ball is cleaner than the BW2.0 and is very strong off the pattern. I used to have nightmares about flat 10 pins. With the BW2.0 Hybrid my biggest worry is solid 9 pins as this ball digs right past it and tackles the 8. It is a house shot & pattern killer as I've done well with it on both. You don't want to miss this one.

I was very excited to drill this new HK22 release. I used my favorite pin down 45x4 5/8x 75 layout. What I got was a ball that cleared the heads effortlessly, picked up and incredible roll and then HIT like an explosion. This is by far my favorite HK22 ball I have drilled. The combination of the gas mask core and the new cover is nothing short of amazing. The colors on the ball look great in your hand and on the lane. Go get this ball!

This ball does not lose its energy through the pins and just splits the 8-9 This will be great for league and tournament use.

Question:
I have the Innovator and the Eternity .. do you feel the Widow Hybrid is to similar to have all three in the bag ?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
There are some slight differences between them but they do somewhat check some of the same boxes in that all of them will give you good length on medium and mostly heavy oil conditions. All have an asymmetric weight block (14-16lbs) and the combination of the coverstock strength and weight block give all three a high hook potential. The Hybrid cover may give the Widow 2.0 Hybrid a slightly smoother reaction at the backend but there may not be enough room to have all three of these.

Question:

Question:
how does the 2.0 compare to the Obsession Infused Carbon Fiber
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The FCC rating on the Obsession was Total- 28.5, Finish- 9.25, Core- 8.5, Cover- 10.75 and the FCC rating on the Widow 2.0 Hybrid is Total-26.25, Finish-7.75, Core-8.75, Cover-9.75. So the Finish and coverstock on the Obsession help give it a stronger hook potential. Also the Obsession reads the lanes earlier while the Widow 2.0 Hybrid gives you more length and a sharper backend.

Question:
Will this ball work for a older person
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This ball could work well for a lot of bowlers. If your bowling ball speed is a little slower then this ball will be good because it has good length and will not roll out too early for you. You may find this works better in heavier oil for you so this could be a good option on those nights when the lanes have more oil.

Have an answer to this question?

The Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid is a great option for a step up from the Motiv Freestyle Rush, but with the hybrid coverstock it won't give you as much length as a pearl coverstock would such as the Hammer Black Widow Ghost.

Have an answer to this question?
Question:
Is it good for low speed and low rev bowlers
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
If you have low speed and low revs then this will still work for you. The polished finish will help with the lower speed to make sure the ball gets down the lane before hooking. The lower rev rate may help you use this ball down into lighter oil a little more but it will work best in medium oil conditions for you.

Question:
for a snior with 11.5 mph ball speed which ball will work better Black Widow or the raw hammer. Also left handed
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
If you are seeing heavier oil conditions then the Widow 2.0 Hybrid may be a better option but if you see more medium to drier conditions then the Raw Hammer may be a better option. For your ball speed it would be best to look for a ball that has a polished finish or possibly a pearl coverstock to give you good length.

Question:
I joined a league about a year and a half ago as a beginner. I have a Brunswick T-zone ball and have been very pleased. I bowl straight. I have steadilt improved. My team thinks it’s time to upgrade and add weight. I’ve read great things about the Black Widow Hybrid and people love it. Is this a good choice for me?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Moving from a straight ball like the Tzone to an upper mid performance ball like the Widow 2.0 Hybrid may be a big adjustment. We normally do not recommend such a strong hooking ball as a first time performance ball. That said, since you are in a league the lane conditions can sometimes be a little more oil during leagues but even during leagues the lane conditions transition down to lighter conditions. You may consider a mid performance option that is more suited for medium to lighter conditions as your first ball and then look at something like this later on as needed.

Question:
What other Black Window ball would you recommend or suggest to have in your bag to complement this Hybrid 2.0 for league nights?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
If you were looking to have a 2 ball arsenal I would recommend the Hybrid 2.0 as your medium to heavy oil ball for the beginning of the night and then you could have the Hammer Raw Hybrid to transition to when the lanes are more medium to lighter oil. Here is one that matches up well with the colors: https://www.bowling.com/products/hammer-raw-hybrid-red-smoke-black.htm

Question:
I bowl with a 15lb Columbia savage 300, it is not longer giving me a hook that it did at one point, does this ball hook well?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid is an upper mid performance ball which has a a fairly high hook potential in medium to heavy oil conditions. This ball was designed to read a little later on the lanes with a sharper backend hook so if you wanted something more similar to the Savage which hooked earlier on the lanes and read with more of an arcing hook you may also consider the Hammer Black Widow 2.0.

Answer:
We apologize for any trouble but we would not be able to recommend a drilling layout. You may ask your local driller if they would have a specific layout or drill pattern in mind before ordering and ask if you need to request a specific pin or top weight to get that layout. When placing the order you may enter any special instructions your driller recommended in the specs box just below the weight selection box on the ball page. We are sorry we could not give more information on the drilling.

Is this similar to the summit

Answer:
Great question! They are very similar in terms of performance level and reaction, but the Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid would react slightly later on the lanes and have a bit more hook potential than the Storm Summit.
