Not sure if I would buy again

When I replaced my old shoes which had a smooth slide, the new ones came with a suede sole instead of the smooth sole. Sticking became a major problem with inconsistent and unpredictable sliding. Using sliding powder became a problem for other bowlers so I quit wearing them and bought other brand with replaceable soles. I finally resorted to "True Slide" pasted on sole and am now wearing them since they're very comfortable.

Pros:

They look the same as the American made Linds

Cons:

The inner sole pad is not the same foam

Best Uses:

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Made in China is not the same as Made in the USA

This was my third pair of Linds Classic white bowling shoes. It is also my first Chinese made pair. Using my past experience I expected no issues at all. When I put them on things did not feel right as it felt that my foot did not sink in to the shoes as much as it should have. I felt this was a temporary issue and my 200 pound weight would eventually compress the inner sole. I was wrong and instead had blisters by the end of three games. The foam inner sole is too stiff and too high. I never had this issue with the American made shoes. When I got home I ripped out the Chinese inner sole and put in my old sole from my American made Linds.

I love the look of the shoe, but the quality is poor. I bowled one season with these until both heels fell off. Very disappointing. I cannot trust Linds to buy another pair.

Linds Mens Classic Heels Fall Off

Heals fell off, really like the style and fit they are very similar to my old Dexter's from the 80's but the big difference the Dexter's lasted forever and these failed both heels (they are not stitched on) great shoe but needs a factory change in construction otherwise not worth purchasing they will not last a season

Only shoes I ever wore. They were custom. Haven't bowled in 30 years. Can I go to pro shop an order custom

11/15/2016 - By

Linds has made some changes recently and I am not sure the custom options are being offered any more through pro-shops. You may call in to speak to one of our representatives to see if we can find an option that best meets your requirements. The shoes that were being made custom 30 years ago may be the same or similar to one of the Classic models we sell online.

Question:

I slide my feet on my approach. My old shoes have both leather soles. Can I still get to leather soles on my shoes

2/18/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This model does not have leather on both shoes but the traction sole has a very smooth rubber and it does allow for some slide if you shuffle or slide both feet. Some of the other options would be to get a universal shoe which has slides on both feet or a shoe that has interchangeable traction soles and you could put another slide sole on the push off foot.

Question:

Did the Linds men’s white leather right hand shoe ever come in wide widths (EE) in the past? I see people selling used white ones elsewhere and wonder if their postings are factual.

6/25/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

It is possible that they use to make a wide width option in white. Linds also previous did customized bowling shoes and would make the shoes custom in the past so there have been some changes made over the years and they no longer have the same options as they use to.

Question:

I'm an extremely difficult fit. Surgically repaired achilles tendon and about a 12.5 which no one makes. Can I purchase a 12 and 13, keep the pair I that fits best, and only pay for one pair? Is a 13 narrow availble?

3/14/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Unfortunately the standard width in mens would be a D width and they no longer make this model in a narrow width. Instead of purchasing 2 pair of shoes and returning 1 pair that does not fit you would do better to order 1 pair with the True Fit and if the first pair did not fit you can use the True Fit to change up or down in the size. Click the "?" beside the True Fit to see more details on this.
