Pros:

Adds lift, Adds revs, Definitely for "weak wrist", Possible to do spare shots

Cons:

Could be warm. Add wrist liner

Best Uses:

Correct release, Weak wrist

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Wow!

I played bowling for 23 years before stopping at 30. I was an elite player, but due to weak wrist and more and more injuries I decided to quit. 22 years later, my old bowling pals were short of members for their team, so I decided to help. I found bowling fun again, so decided to invest and buy new bowling balls. But each time I've played, even only few games, my wrist started aching a lot 24-48 hours later.
So desperate, I searched for solutions, and came upon the Mongoose and the reviews told me, it could be an option for weak wrist. Yesterday it arrived, and we had team practice with no warm up due to being able to play the number of games against each other.
First game I had 11 strokes in the pocket. 10 strikes. The revs definitely gone up. My "lift fingers" pulsing and the guys back commenting positively on my "new release".
But best of all. Today no aching in my wrist at all. I was very worried after the game, but nothing. I could be "early positive", but it does seem as if this could be the magic tool to get me buying into the game again :)
Oh. And about the build of this. It seems solid and is comfortable. I really like the feeling of the release.

Pros:

Maintains Hand Position, Maintains Wrist Position, Very Comfortable

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I would buy this product again and again

I have been using this wrist support for 3 weeks and for the last two weeks my series in league has soared. High until 3 weeks age 653 for this season but the last two weeks I have shot 730 and 780 respectfully. This support is very comfortable and maintains your wrist and fingers in a consistent position for a strong roll on the ball. I use with my middle and ring finger strapped in with my pinky tucked and index finger spread for my strike shot and I am still able to hold my index , middle and ring finger close together and spread the pinky to flatten the shot out for shooting cross alley for left and right side spares in comfort. Great product

Lost without it.

It is comfortable to wear and very helpful for most shots. I feel the need to remove for 10 pins because of the hook. I had one before and lost it, my average went down 15 pins. Thought I would try bowling without one, but it was too frustrating for me to bowl bad while trying to get accustomed to not using one. This really does work and if you are a first time user make sure you give it a couple of weeks and then watch your average go up.

Pros:

Keep my wrist consistent

Best Uses:

Consistent strike

Bottom Line:

Don't judge a book by its cover

I was very inconsistent getting to the pocket with not enough lift. My games has been improved as result of the MONGOOSE Optimum. Since I use this product my game is now consistent and my average is getting better. I also use this during my practice with the Mongoose.

Pros:

Hand and finger control

Bottom Line:

Great Product

This is a combo of the other two Mongoose wrist supports. It combines the hand strap of the equalizer and the finger strap of the lifter. Some bowlers have issues with the lifter rubbing around the fingers, adding the hand strap alleviates that!
I purchased a second one for my wife!

Right hand bowlers best friend!!!

I have what you call a weak wrist. This product keeps my wrist straight so I can use fingers to give ball a lift. I have used this product for a while. The only con (sort of) is the velcro gets old and frayed and eventually you have to get a new one. Now I only bowl 2 nights a week so it lasts a lot longer.

Pros:

The additional palm strap

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It really is "optimum"

The additional palm strap provides extra strength and stability over the "Lifter" model. It does get pretty hot to wear for extended use, i.e. in tournaments, so a sleeve underneath helps.

Cons:

Velcro deteriorated quickly. Pops open while throwing ball.

Question:

Does the support strap in the palm area fit snug to the hand? I currently use a Robbi wrist support with the metal support on the inside of the wrist. I would like to have a support which woulld allow the ball to rest more in the palm of the hand. Please advise.

Answer:

Hello, the strap on the Mongoose Optimum will fit snug to your palm with no metal support. The only metal support will be on the top of your hand/wrist for a consistent release of the bowling ball.

Answer:

Hi! If you have any other kind of gloves or wrist supports you can determine the size that way. Whatever winter gloves you would normally wear, would be the size to determine it by.

Answer:

If you are used to wearing a size XL then the size Large will probably be a bit too small.

Question:

My wrist is just shy of 7" around but I wear like a large in just regular mechanics work gloves. Will the medium be the right size or the large?

7/19/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Unfortunately there is not a size chart for this wrist support so I could not guarantee the size that would fit best but if you wear large in other gloves then you may want to get large for this.

Question:

What's the different of the Optimum to the Lifter supports.. In the middle of the game my ball stops breaking...I started using the Mongoose Ext support and the ball started to stop breaking with that support...I kind of get lost when that happens...Thank You..

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There are 3 models specific models that Mongoose carries. There is the Lifter, Equalizer, and Optimum. The Lifter is designed for a consistent roll and better lift through proper thumb release and helps you keep your pinky finger tucked. The Equalizer is designed to ensure proper hand positioning on a consistent basis and will increase roll while reducing spin. The Optimum gives you both advantages of the Lifter and Equalizer.
