Storm Equinox

Storm Equinox Designed for league bowlers and weekend tournament competitors, the Storm EquinoX is precision-engineered for medium-to-long oil patterns (39-44 feet). It combines Storm’s signature backend motion with unmatched consistency, giving bowlers the confidence to dominate on the lanes. At its core is the revolutionary asymmetric Solarion A.I. Core, featuring three strategically designed cylinders that optimize motion. This design ensures fast revving in the front, versatility for drilling, and enhanced torque for powerful continuation. The result is the classic Storm skid-flip reaction with added control and energy retention. The A1S Pearl Reactive coverstock debuts Adhesion System technology for superior lane grip and responsiveness. Paired with the Power Edge Polish, it delivers effortless length and a sharp, controlled move at the breakpoint. Whether you're tackling league nights or weekend tournaments, the Storm EquinoX offers the perfect balance of power, precision, and versatility.

They highlight that even on fresh oil patterns, the Equinox finds the pocket with ease, offering a confidence boost right from the start. The ball's early roll and strong backend motion have been described as game-changers, giving bowlers the edge they need to dominate their league nights.

Versatility for Various Bowling Styles

The Equinox isn't just for one type of bowler. Whether you're a power player, a tweener, or someone who bowls with less speed but more revs, this ball adapts to your style. Bowlers appreciate how the Equinox can be drilled to suit different preferences, making it a versatile choice that fits into many arsenals as a primary ball or a strong backup option.

Consistent Performance on Medium to Heavy Oil

Bowlers consistently mention the Equinox's reliability on medium to heavy oil conditions. They praise its ability to navigate through the oil without overreacting, providing a smooth, predictable motion that helps in maintaining high scores throughout the game. The ball's reaction downlane is described as both strong and controllable, which is crucial for those critical spares and strikes.

Superior Grip and Back End Reaction

The A1S Pearl Reactive coverstock is a frequent topic in reviews, with bowlers noting its exceptional grip on the lane. This coverstock, combined with the ball's innovative core design, results in a backend motion that's both sharp and manageable. This durability in performance is a significant advantage, keeping bowlers in the game longer with fewer adjustments.

While performance is paramount, the Equinox's striking visual design doesn't go unnoticed. Bowlers comment on how the Goldenrod, Deep Violet, and Chromium colors not only catch the eye but also inspire confidence when selecting their equipment. It's a ball that looks as good as it performs, adding a bit of flair to any bowler's collection.

Question:

How would this compare to the original Attention Star?

1/21/2025 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This will be very comparable to the Attention Star. Both are high performance balls that work in medium oil. Both have a pearl coverstock and polished finish to give them good length and a sharper backend hook. The weight block on the Equinox does have a slightly higher flare potential but they are still very close in comparison.

Question:

How will it compare to the Zen25 will there be enough difference to purchase both

1/27/2025 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There are definitely some similarities between these two options but the Equinox is described to be great in medium conditions while the Zen25 works in medium to heavy oil. You may could use the Equinox as a transition option for when the Zen25 is reading to strong and as the lanes are drying some to be able to find use for both.

Question:

how would this ball compare to the motiv primal rage evo

2/6/2025 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Both options will be fairly comparable in a lot of ways. Both are designed for medium oil and both give you great length with a sharper backend hook. The Equinox may read just slightly earlier and a little smoother on the backend that the Primal Rage Evo but they are still both going to react in the backend with a strong hook.
