It’s Time For the Top 5 Selling Balls for July, 2024
It’s the dog days of summer! Forgive us for the wait. August has gotten off to a fast start and we’re just getting around to detailing the most popular balls from July. Kids bowl free is wrapping up at most bowling centers, so get in your last few free games while you can! And now… it’s time for the bowling balls. This was another month of the big boys contending for the top spot. Like the Olympic runners we see right now in Paris, we often know who those on the podium will be before the race. The only question is, “what order will they be in?” Spoiler alert. The order is pretty predictable. Maybe this fall we’ll see some new contenders. But for now, these are the bowling balls our customers have fallen in love with this summer.
1. Hammer Arctic Vibe
Once again, the Arctic Vibe from Hammer is a really, really popular mid-performance ball that stands out on the lanes. It blew all the other top balls out of the water for July! The first thing that shows up when you pull it out of your bag is the white and purple color. Just look at it! So nice. From the moment you go to it you’ll get people’s attention. This ball is labeled as “mid-performance” but that doesn’t do it justice. The Arctic Vibe is so good on the lanes with big-time backend reaction. Hammer is really extending the Vibe ball line with the release of the Arctic Vibe. This purple and white beauty features the HK22 - CT Max Hybrid Reactive coverstock, which gives you an unmatched level of performance at this price point. Need a new ball that will impact your game but don’t have a ton to spend? Check out the Arctic Vibe.
2. Storm Phaze II
So the Phaze II once again overtook the #2 spot. This ball is incredibly popular, and a long-time favorite of Bowling.com's customers. An upper mid-performance ball, the Phaze II was designed for medium to heavy oil. If you’re looking for hook, the Phaze II is perfect because of the T X - 16 Solid Reactive coverstock. If you've ever been around Storm bowling balls you'll notice each ball has a special scent. The Phaze II smells like red velvet cake! What are your thoughts about this ball? So many customers have told us the Phaze II is really versatile, one of the balls they go back to time and again.
3. Hammer Black Widow 3.0 Solid
Ok. Yep. This is now the fourth straight month the dominant Black Widow 3.0 is near the top of our sales list. We’ll keep it short because you probably already know this one but here's what you need to know about this contender of a ball. The Hammer Black Widow 3.0 Solid is an upper mid-performance ball with an upgraded HK22 - Aggression Solid Reactive coverstock that'll give you all the hook you need. The Gas Mask core gives you serious backend so this ball is a heavy hitter! Predictable, smooth, and strong sum up our customers’ thoughts on this ball. That’s why it keep selling so well each month.
4. Storm Ion Pro
For the second straight month, right back at the fourth spot, is the new Storm Ion Pro, a high-performance ball that sets a new standard for reliability, offering balanced performance across various lane conditions. So it’s versatile. What else should you know about the Ion Pro? The Element Tour A.I. Core uses a unique stacked ellipse design, positioning smaller ellipses at the ends of the X-axis and the widest ellipse at the central point of the Y-axis. On top of that, the Ion Pro is one of Storm's most strikingly low RG asymmetrical designs to date. Pair it all with the TX-16 coverstock, initially introduced with the Phaze II, and you have a hybrid that combines length and durability, and offers a level of versatility you’ll rarely find in a ball.
5. Hammer Effect
If you’ll remember, last month our actual fifth best seller was the Ebonite Emerge but it was a closeout, so we decided to go with our sixth best seller in this spot. But this month, the Hammer Effect has moved into the fifth spot properly. It’s a ball you guys just can’t seem to get enough of. We’ve never seen a high-performance ball quite like the Effect. Hammer uses a special, new process to include four vibrant colors in the HK22 - Cohesion Pearl coverstock on this ball. No other performance ball has done this so it will definitely stand out! Really, you’ve got to see it in person to understand. But how does the ball perform? Maybe that’s the more important info. The Effect is a high hooking ball with aggressive mid-lane and backend due to the innovative Hunstman core shape. Customers say it’s clean through the fronts, handles oil well, and leaves less pins than the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid. Don't look past the Hammer Effect. It's a top seller again this month for a reason.
Check back early in September and we'll share the top sellers for August with you. For now, happy end of summer bowling! For those that are headed back to school, we hope it’s a great year!
