Let's Take a Look at the Top 7 Selling Balls for August, 2024
Well the heat is beginning to break at the Bowling.com headquarters. Kids are back in school. Summer is winding down. Fall leagues are just around the corner. But the bowling balls aren't cooling off. In fact, a few we've seen these past few months continue to scorch sales records! We're looking at you Arctic Vibe! In fact, the top 5 balls for August are EXACTLY THE SAME as they were in July. We wanted to add some new bowling balls to the mix, so we're bringing you the top 7 balls this month!
7. Roto Grip Optimum Idol Pearl
Well this is refreshing! We have a new top seller on the list! Don't pay attention to the fact we had to expand our top selling balls list for August. And this month we thought we'd go from 7th to 1st to get the new bowling balls in front of you faster. Enjoy the new gear! Step up your game with the Roto Grip Optimum Idol Pearl—a dazzling new member of the IDOL family that’s as flashy as it is fierce! Sporting the first-ever MicroTrax Pearl coverstock in the domestic market, this ball isn’t just eye candy; it’s a performance powerhouse. The iconic Ikon + A.I. Core Technology teams up with a slick Reacta Gloss finish, giving you the perfect combo of grip and responsiveness on medium to heavy oil lanes. Whether you're rolling strikes or picking up spares, this bubblegum and iris beauty is ready to elevate your game to the next level. Get your hands on the Optimum Idol Pearl and watch those pins go down in style!
6. DV8 Verge Hybrid
And at 6th place we have another new top selling ball. Get ready to elevate your game with the DV8 Verge Hybrid—where performance meets style in an eye-popping orange and purple sparkle! This beast of a ball combines the power of the Threshold core with the HK22 - Inciter Max Flip Hybrid Reactive coverstock, delivering unmatched length with a fierce backend reaction on medium oil. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a dedicated bowler looking to up your game, the Verge Hybrid is your ticket to staying ahead of the competition. Plus, with a two-year warranty, you’ve got nothing to lose—except maybe a few pins!
5. Hammer Effect
In June, the Hammer Effect was a runner up. In July, it moved into the fifth spot, and that's right where it is again this month. It’s a ball Bowling.com bowlers just can’t seem to get enough of. Have you ever seen a high-performance ball like the Effect? We bet you haven't! Hammer uses a unique, new process to include four vibrant colors in the HK22 - Cohesion Pearl coverstock on this ball. No other performance ball has done this so it will definitely show up when you pull it out of your bowling bag! You really have to see it in person to understand. But how does the ball perform? Maybe that’s the more important info. The Effect is a high hooking ball with aggressive mid-lane and backend due to the innovative Hunstman core shape. We've noticed that it's clean through the fronts, handles oil well, and leaves less pins than the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid. Don't look past the Hammer Effect. It's a top seller again this month for a reason.
4. Storm Ion Pro
For the third straight month, right back at the fourth spot, is the new Storm Ion Pro. This high-performance ball from the ever popular Storm sets a new reliability standard as it offers balanced performance across various lane conditions. Is it versatile? You bet. What are other details of the Ion Pro are good to know? The Element Tour A.I. Core uses a special stacked ellipse design, positioning smaller ellipses at the ends of the X-axis and the widest ellipse at the central point of the Y-axis. On top of that, the Ion Pro is one of Storm's most incredibly low RG asymmetrical designs to date. Pair that with the TX-16 coverstock (first seen in the Phaze II), and you have a hybrid that combines length and durability, and offers a level of versatility you won't often find.
3. Hammer Black Widow 3.0 Solid
The Hammer Black Widow 3.0 Solid is on the list for the FIFTH STRAIGHT MONTH. Hammer is doing something right for sure. Not a lot to say that hasn't already been said in our previous posts but here's the down low on this monster of a bowling ball. The Black Widow 3.0 Solid is an upper mid-performance ball with an upgraded HK22 - Aggression Solid Reactive coverstock that'll give you TONS of hook. The Gas Mask core gives you serious backend so this ball is a heavy hitter! Predictable, smooth, and strong sum up our customers’ thoughts on this ball. That’s why it's here in a coveted spot on our top sellers list once again in August.
2. Storm Phaze II
For the second straight month we see the Storm Phaze II coming in with the silver medal. What a bowling ball! This super long-time, upper mid-performance favorite of Bowling.com's customers was designed for medium to heavy oil. If you want hook, the Phaze II is perfect because of the T X - 16 Solid Reactive coverstock. Over the years we've seen the Phaze II is really versatile, one of the balls we go back to time after time because it just keeps performing.
1. Hammer Arctic Vibe
Just like the last few months, the Hammer Arctic Vibe has topped the charts. A mid-performance bowling ball that you want in your bowling ball tote or roller. We're starting to sound redundant, so rather than repeat ourselves, take a look at our top sellers from July to learn more about this beast of a ball from Hammer.
Check back early in October and we'll and we'll do this all over again, sharing the top sellers for September, 2024 with you. Will some new balls step up? Will anyone dethrone the Arctic Vibe? Stay tuned to find out. In the meantime, we hope the lanes are forgiving and the pins remember they fear you!
