Bowling Etiquette

During the Christmas season it is really important to remember to be kind and respectful wherever you go and to whoever you encounter. This is especially important at the bowling alley. When remembering good bowling etiquette it is imperative that you remember to keep the approach spic and span! That means you make sure to wear your bowling shoes, whether they are your own or rentals. It also means to keep food and drinks as far away from the approach as possible, you sure don't want anything spilling and staining the approach for future bowlers. Another thing to keep in mind while bowling is, if someone next to you is bowling, don't bowl at the same time they are bowling. Be courteous and respectful when it's their turn, don't throw them off their groove. No body likes it when someone messes you up on your approach.

The key to bowling etiquette is respect. Leave the bowling alley cleaner and better than when you first found it. Be respectful to other bowlers around you, to the equipment, to the alley and to yourself. No one wants to hear someone cussing and swearing up a storm. Be the bowler everyone wants to go bowling with. Be the better person and pick up after others. Take their balls back to the rack if they forgot, or take their shoes back up to the counter if they left and forgot about them. Especially if bowlers before you left garbage around, be the better person and pick up their garbage, clean it, and leave it cleaner than when you found it. Bowling etiquette is something to always remember when at the bowling alley, and if you carry yourself like this around a bowling alley, then it will carry over into your life and you will live a very happy life. Merry Christmas Everyone!
