Roto Grip Hyped Solid

Roto Grip wants to get you hyped up with this mid-performance bowling ball! The Roto Grip Hyped Solid features the Hyped core which has a low RG. This core allows the ball to offer more overall motion than Roto Grip's entry-level balls but a little less than their upper-mid performance bowling balls. The coverstock on the Hyped Solid is the VTC (Versatile Traction Control) Solid Coverstock which provides earlier traction and is ideal for a little more oil. This ball is also a great match when the friction down lane requires more control. The versatility of this bowling ball is something to get hyped about!

Question:

Would this be a step down from the phaze 2

10/24/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, this would be a good compliment to the Phaze II. They have a similar earlier read on the lanes but the Hyped Solid would work better in medium oil while you could keep the Phaze II more for heavier conditions.

Question:

Does is make sense to have this ball in an arsenal with a Phaze II and Hustle Wine?

8/13/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball could bridge the gap between the Phaze II and Wine so that there was not such a big drop when transitioning. But that will depend on how much feel you need something between the two and if that gap is worth adding a new ball in the mix.
