Weber Wins Best Bowler at ESPY's

2013 PBA Tournament of Champions winner Pete Weber received his third Best Bowler ESPY Award Wednesday night.

Weber has won the Best Bowler ESPY before in 2002 and 2004. This past year he won his second Tournament of Champions at the ripe old age of 50. With the win he completed the PBA’s Triple Crown for a second time, something no other bowler has accomplished. In winning his 37th career PBA Tour title, he tied Norm Duke for third on the all-time career list and tied Earl Anthony for most major titles with 10.

Weber’s historic win in the Tournament of Champions marked the second consecutive season that his performance in a major made for memorable sports television. We all remember the– “Who do you think you are? I am,” after he beat Mike Fagan in the championship match for the U.S. Open title. Jason Belmonte and Scott Norton were also nominated for the 2013 Best Bowler ESPY.
