Storm Code Black
WARNING: You need a Code Black on the lanes! The Storm Code Black features a RAD4 core. This high torque, high differential core technology was very successful internationally so Storm is introducing it to the US through this high performance bowling ball. This core is paired with Storm's proven R2S Pearl Reactive coverstock and finished with a 1500 grit polish. Question:
What Is Hook Potential On This Ball For 16 Lbs
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This ball is one of Storms most aggressive bowling balls. It is in their high performance line and will have a very high hook potential. Storm does not have a scale they use to rate this but because this is in their high performance line, it will be very aggressive on medium to heavy oil.

Question:
What are the differences between the snap lock and code black looking for something to use after my lock starts to chew up the lanes
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Hi, the Code Black is going to be a little later on the break, and a little sharper angle compared to the Snap Lock. Not to dissimilar from the line or lane conditions you would use with the Snap Lock. If you are looking to move down a little once the lanes dry up, take a look at the Sky Rocket.

Asymmetrical means what to the reaction

Answer:
Hello. Asymmetrical drilled balls show a defined, angular motion. These balls can create more area at the break point and will respond to friction faster at the break point than symmetrical balls.

How would you compare this bowling bowl to the savage
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Hello. The Savage is a solid coverstock with a sanded 1200 grit and performs best for only heavy oil. The Storm Code Black is a pearl coverstock with a 1500 polished grit and performs best on medium-heavy oil lane conditions.

Question:
How would you compare this bowling bowl to the scandal bowling by hammer
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Hello. The Storm Code Black will be the same as the Scandal Pearl. Since the regular Scandal is a solid coverstock, it will perform differently. This ball will bowl longer than the Scandal. The Hammer Scandal will be a more aggressive ball than the Storm Code Black.

Question:
how does this compare to the quantum
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
There are 2 Brunswick Quantum balls. The Quantum Solid would read earlier and is more for heavier oil only. The Quantum Pearl is rated more for medium lanes but would react more similar to the Code Black because they are both designed for good length and an aggressive backend hook. Because Brunswick rates the Quantum Pearl more for medium oil, you may see the Code Black is slightly stronger because it is rated to handle medium to heavy oil.

Question:
How would u compare this ball to the phaze2 what ball would b better to use and go with my 30th anniversary iq. As im hearing alot of hd things bout both but also hearing that tge coverstock makes for 70% of the pinfall and what would be better when the lanes dry out as hearinv the phaze 2 has a better coverstock is this correct.
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The biggest difference is that the Code Black is designed more for length with a strong backend while the Phaze II is going to read earlier on the lanes with a smoother overall hook. When pairing this with the IQ Tour 30 you would have to see which you would prefer. The Code Black has a more similar reaction to the IQ Tour 30 so it would be a good compliment and an easier transition to move from the Code Black to the IQ Tour 30 as the lanes dry out. However, some people may like to pair the Phaze II with the IQ Tour 30 because that gives them different shots to be able to play different lines through the night. Just personal preference though.

Question:
I am a 74 year-old female. I use a black Rhino. I throw a 12 lb ball at about 8 speed. I throw kind of a hook ball. I do well on dry lanes, but my Rhino is very ineffective on oily lanes. Would you recommend this ball or another one for me?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Rhino is only really rated for lighter oil conditions so it will struggle to give any kind of movement on heavier oil. The Code Black on the other hand is a high performance ball for medium to heavier oil so it will have a good amount of hook on medium and heavy oil conditions. While this ball may work, it may leave you with a bit of gap in your arsenal between it and the Rhino you have so you may want to find a ball that is still rated for medium to heavier oil but is not as aggressive like a Storm Hy-Road or a Brunswick Vintage Danger Zone.

Question:
I have a Snaplock, Code Black, Phaze 2, Joyride, Punch Out, and Marvel Pearl. I need some advice on bulding an arsenal without carrying two similar balls to the lanes. I'm a lower rev and lower ball speed bowler (around 13 mph) who bowls on mainly house shots......any suggestions?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Snap Lock and Code Black are both high performance pearl bowling balls that would cover the same conditions. They will be slightly different but not enough to need both balls at one time. The Phaze 2 also can handle similar medium to heavy oil but it gives you a much different read because it is duller so that may come in handy to give you a different look. The Marvel Pearl would compliment the Snap Lock and Code Black well as a back up so that would be okay to take. Finally the Joy Ride and the Punch Out are also pretty close in comparison so I do not think you would need both in one night. So you could do a 4 ball night with the Code Black, Phaze 2, Marvel Pearl, and Joy Ride and be fine.
