Best pearl Jackal to date

Once again Motiv improved on a pearl version of the Jackal! By far the Cleanest Asymmetric that Motiv offers in their current lineup. I broke the cover with a used 2000 pad because it was a couple feet too clean out of the box for my liking. The Predator V2 wrapped in the Propulsion HV Pearl makes the corner with ease without loosing hitting power from any part of the lane. Once the lane starts to break down this is my go-to right after the Ambush or the Raptor Fury. Another great purpose-built ball form Motiv.

Crimson Jackal

Hand: Right-Handed
Ball Weight: 15 lbs.
Rev Rate: 500 RPM
Ball Speed: 18 Mph
Tilt: 10
Rotation: 45
PAP: 5.125” over and .125” up
Layout: 55 x 5 ½ x 30 (Dual Angle)

The newest Crimson Jackal features the new Propulsion HV+ cover stock. This new cover is super-fast responding even in heavier oil conditions. The proven Predator V2 core is the motor that drives this ball with incredible continuation and power when entering the pin deck. On house patterns the Crimson Jackal picks up in the mid-lane but continues to get further down the lane without losing energy. On sport patterns I can play closer to the friction and keep my angles tight. With drilling the Crimson Jackal slightly weaker for me it’s more versatile. The Crimson Jackal will be in my league bag and in my tournament bag for a long time.

MOTIV CRIMSON JACKAL

Introducing the new Crimson Jackal. This is a ball we have all been waiting for. A pearl like Ghost. This ball is clean up front with never seen before angularity from any other Jackal to date.
Fast response in the heaviest of oil conditions.
For speed dominant bowlers this ball will help create shape when other pearls dont.
For balanced bowlers this will be the first pearl out of the bag to help create shape early in the block.
Rev dominant bowlers will like the ease at which this ball gets through the fronts and the unparralled angles it creates on the backend.

This is next level in the Jackal line.

When the Ghost is working and starts to burn up, this will be the perfect go to ball.

Question:

I'm around a 16-17mph bowler with around 440 revs and my current strongest pearl is the storm Fate, how would the jackal crimson compare to that and would they be too similar to have in the same bag?

12/14/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Both bowling balls will have a similar pearl coverstock and polished finish to give you good length and a strong backend hook. The Crimson Jackal will have a little more flare potential due to the weight block and that helps it work a little better in heavier oil so there could be enough room there for having both balls but they are going to be fairly similar in performance.

Question:

In the process of building my arsenal.. I have a black venom and primal shock would this or raptor fury make the most sense to add?

1/9/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

With your given arsenal I think the Raptor Fury may actually be a more suitable piece. This Crimson Jackal gives you more length with a sharper backend hook and the Raptor Fury will have a smoother reaction on the lanes which pairs more with the reaction you have on the Black Venom and Primal Shock. All of those would have a solid reactive coverstock so that arsenal would be a more fluid where the Crimson Jackal would give you a much different reaction and may be hard to transition from this Crimson Jackal to one of the other balls you have.

Question:

I still use my Jackal Legacy. I don't have another asymmetrical ball to back it up when my shot gets me to far left. My symmetrical balls do not create the same ball motion. Will the Crimson Jackal be a good step down drilled the same as the Legacy, or do I need to look at another Motiv asymmetrical to ball down to?

3/24/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The pearl covestock and polished finish on the Crimson Jackal will give you much more length down the lanes than the Jackal Legacy so this could help it to work down into some medium oil conditions but it will still have a very strong hook on the backend. It will not work into lighter oil conditions unfortunately but may give you just enough different to be a good backup in medium.

Question:

Is this a straight or hook/curve ball

10/28/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is a high performance ball with a high hook potential. This would not be a good option for a straight bowler.
