Roto Grip Idol Pearl

The Roto Grip Idol Pearl uses the Ikon core that changed the perception of the HP3 line for Roto Grip. This core has a low RG symmetrical shape with high differential that generates flare as well as awesome motion down the lane and on through the pin deck. The Idol Pearl introduces the xTrax-P18 Pearl Reactive coverstock which was designed to compliment the original Idol bowling ball. This cover is finished with a 1500 grit pad and then polished. This ball can handle most any lane condition but is best used on medium to medium/heavy oil.*There will be some variance in color due to the Nano material. This is due to "phasing". Some of the balls with phasing have a white color in them and some may appear to have water spots.

Question:

hello. will this ball be a good replacement ball for the original dare devil?

10/28/2018 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This does have some similarities to the Dare Devil but this is going to be a stronger ball and it can handle more oil than the original Dare Devil could. They both go longer on the lanes because of their pearl coverstocks but the idol pearl will be stronger on the backend.

Question:

Hello. I have a Storm Lock and a Storm Sync. I'm looking for something a little less aggressive but not too drastic of a change. I have the most difficulties in the 2nd game of a league night during Transition. Would this ball be a good step down in aggressiveness from those other 2 balls? I like a straight down with backend shape.

1/22/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

With the Storm Lock and Storm Sync both being high performance for heavier oil it is a good step down to go to the upper mid performance ball that can handle down to medium oil so that you can use this when the lanes start breaking down and the Lock and Sync are too strong.

Question:

I haven't purchased a bowling ball in years. I have been rolling with the Roto Grip Bandit and love it. I am looking for a ball that is similar with just a bit of a stronger finish on the back end. How would this ball compare?

3/10/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Bandit will fit just between the Idol Pearl and the MVP Pearl in terms of how strong it is. If you wanted something a little stronger the Idol Pearl would be a good option. It has similar length and a strong backend hook.

Question:

What’s difference between Halo and idol weight block? I like the way the Halo finishes wil this ball have a similar finishing pattern. I am 66 years and ball speed is average for my age group.

1/30/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The original Halo would match the style of the original Idol because both had a solid coverstock and a duller finish out of the box. The Halo series is a high performance ball with an Asymmetric weight block so it is going to have a stronger hook potential than the Idol series which is an upper mid performance ball with a Symmetric weight block. The Idol Pearl would match up closer to the Halo Pearl in the way it reacts so you would want to make sure which Halo you have to be sure which Idol would be a closer match to it.
