Storm Lightning Blackout

The Storm Lightning Blackout bowling ball, a tribute to classic style and top-notch performance that loyal Storm enthusiasts will adore. This modernized Lightning maintains the legacy of its predecessor, delivering remarkable length, power, and control with every roll. Its symmetric design ensures easy drilling and smooth gameplay. Crafted with the Warp A.I. Core, the Lightning Blackout boasts a flare potential akin to the esteemed !Q Tour, offering forgiveness and seamless transitions between skidding, hooking, and rolling. With medium-low differential cores that don't migrate too swiftly, you can expect enhanced forgiveness and extended transition zones on the lane. A standout feature of this bowling ball is its benchmark coverstock—the renowned ReX Pearl in captivating black obsidian pearl. Not only does it catch the eye on the lane, but it also provides instant visual feedback and exceptional performance. The ReX Pearl effortlessly clears the front part of the lane and maintains remarkable consistency through the heads, allowing for precise and reliable shots every time.

Hi Joe, the Roto Grip Hustle is a mid performance so the high performance level Storm Lightning Blackout will be more reactive.

Question:

Could this be a good ball for a 14mph more rev dominant player on a fresh house shot and then transition into say the hustle m&m? or maybe take some surface to it and would that make it better for fresh lanes?

7/21/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball would be good for a rev dominant bowler who needs the ball to have good length and not read too strongly too early on the lanes. This ball has a very good league option because it will work very well in medium conditions and be easy to adjust as the lane transitions. If you did decide to sand the finish you could get this to read a little stronger and a little early on the lanes and then transition later to the Hustle in lighter conditions. It would still work well on your average lane conditions and not be overly aggressive whether you sand this or keep the polished out of box finish.

Here is a good video from Storm regarding the Reacta Gloss and at about 1:30 on the video they describe how replicate the out of box finish when a ball shows the finish as Reacta Gloss: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znaktriouyw
