What do bowlers say about the Storm Summit Ascent?

Predictable Power That Packs a Punch

Bowlers love how the Storm Summit Ascent delivers a smooth, predictable roll that still hits hard. It's not about wild hooks or sharp turns—it's a steady arc that keeps you in control. The ball's strong backend keeps pins flying without throwing you off target. It's like having a reliable friend who always shows up with firepower.

Forgiveness That Saves Your Game

Miss your mark? No sweat—the Summit Ascent forgives those off shots. Bowlers rave about its ability to stay on line and carry pins even when you're not perfect. That R2S Solid cover glides through the fronts but grips when it counts. It's a safety net for those tricky nights.

Consistency You Can Count On

Shot after shot, bowlers trust this ball to perform the same way. It settles into a groove after a few throws, giving you a steady look at the pocket. The core and cover combo reads the lane early and keeps the shape locked in. It's the kind of reliability that boosts your confidence.

Versatility Across Conditions

From fresh oil to beat-up lanes, bowlers say this ball adapts like a champ. Tweaking the surface—like dropping it to 1000 grit—lets it tackle heavier oil, while the stock finish shines on medium patterns. It's a go-to that stays in the bag no matter the house. Flexibility is its middle name.

What's the Verdict?

Storm Summit Ascent Bowlers can't get enough of the Storm Summit Ascent. It's a powerhouse that's easy to control, forgives mistakes, and stays steady all night. It fits any lane and any style, making it a must-have for serious players. This ball climbs to the top for a reason.

Question:

I am a returning bowler. I am currently using a Storm Equinox in open bowling practice to get back in shape for league bowling. I am looking for a ball to compliment my equinox. Is Ascent different enough to start building an arsenal? what can I expect to be the differences?

3/5/2025 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Summit Ascent and Equinox are both designed to work on medium oil and some heavy conditions. The Summit Ascent will read a little earlier on the lane for a little smoother reaction on the lanes while the Equinox will go a little longer for a sharper backend hook. While they do react at different lengths, you may find that you use one of the other on a given night but may not find a lot of situations to have to use them both on the same night. If you needed an option that would help down into lighter oil conditions then this would not be a good compliment to the Equinox but if you needed an option to use for when you need a different line on medium-heavy oil then this would be a good option.
