Hammer Effect
The Hammer Effect is a winner! This new cohesion pearl sees to really react well to a variety of lane conditions. Where some pearls get over under at times, this ball seems to pick up a little sooner in the right part of the lane. It's quick off the spot and very continuous. I'm really a fan of this ball!

Effect!!!
I love this one. Nice overall consistent roll. More like a benchmark pearl for the symmetrical ball. I drilled min 60 x 4 x 30 which creates nice length and quick response to friction downlane. It has great Hammer ball motion and does not disappoint.. Get to your local pro shop to get one before its to late.

4 Colors means lots of strikes
This is Hammers first 4 color ball! It is as strong on the lane as it is beautiful in color. This ball packs a punch and the upper performance piece. This ball is great under my Widow 3.0 and close to my 2.0 but provides enough difference in shape to be in between those 2 balls. It is slightly cleaner than my Widow 3.0 and earlier than my 2.0 hybrid. Very Strong!

Amazing High End Ball!
I love the new Hammer Effect. One of the few balls that will hook in oil even with a shiny cover. Love the shape and how the balls gets through the pins. A must have!

Big Boom Downlane
I love this ball for playing steeper angles when the pattern starts to transition. I needed this type of ball in my bag. It is strong in the midlane and gives the right type of angular motion needed for those needed that extra arch to kick out the 10 pins

Best new ball of the year!
I have thrown the Effect on three different patterns, and I am loving this ball. Threw it on a house shot. I could miss left and not have the weak 10 or ring 10, when the ball never really picks up. This ball picks up! I also threw it on the 45’ Dick Weber and 43’ Earl Anthony. I get a great motion on both. I didn’t expect the motion I got on the Anthony. I am very impressed. Clean but not super skip-flip, just a good strong motion. Averaged over 230 on the Weber the first time I used the Effect in competition.

Ball of the Year!!!
If you thought the Hammer Black Widow 3.0 or Track Theorem was the best ball of the year… WAIT until you get this In your bag! If you are looking for HOOK and POWER, then this ball is right for you!!! This ball is nothing short of amazing! At 60 x 5 x 30, this ball has length and lots of energy thru the pins! This ball is great out of the box, you can even do a light surface rub with a 3000 or 4000 pad and this ball gets even better!! It’s tournament season and this is a MUST!! Don’t wait! Effect
I drilled my Effect with a 60 x 4 x 35 pin up layout. For me, this ball is so responsive off the end of the pattern. I can use it as a game one ball on medium patterns and has been a great step down ball from my Black Widow 3.0. It is clean through the fronts, like my black Widow 2.0 Hybrid, but it starts earlier and handles the oil better. I noticed on shots that I missed in, it would read and strike, where the 2.0 Hybrid would either leave a two pin or hopefully mix up a strike. I can see this ball being used by all styles of bowlers as well. I can see this ball being used by all different speeds and styles with surface changes. Another homerun by Hammer Bowling!

WOW!!! DON"T WAIT!!! Hammer Effect
This ball is soooooo good. The Hammer Effect is very versatile and completely explosive on the back end and through the pins. I drilled mine 60 x 5 x 30 and the shape is impressive. This ball will be in the bag for quite some time. The Hammer Effect has amazing shelf appeal (4 color pour) and ever customer that has purchased one has done nothing but rave about the ball's performance. A true hook MONSTER
This ball out the box is an absolute hook monster. It can bathe in oil and still read a lane and react. The lane carry is phenomenal and when it hits the brakes and rolls over it absolutely dives toward the pocket. This ball hits so hard that if the pins were self aware they would just fall down when they see this ball coming to avoid getting hit. If you, like me, were lucky enough to own a true “original” Pre-Fab Red Hammer from the early 90’s; you know, the ball that “wouldn't miss” then the Effect is that ball on steroids. Going down the lane you can hear its war cry and all that is left when it is done is the carnage of a destroyed rack. You know that sweet sound you hear when other bowlers crush a rack and you automatically know it’s a strike? This is the ONLY sound this ball knows how to make. Put yourself behind the Hammer Effect and understand the effect of a great ball.

New and innovative
The Hammer Effect is such an innovative ball, starting with the first 4-color face and the combination of HK22 and Cohesion additive for a cover. What this does is provide great mid lane traction without sacrificing super back end hook. This is due in part to the new Huntsman asymmetrical core in the Effect. This ball will get down the lanes and make a strong arc into the pocket. I find this to be a great ball to switch to when a solid starts burning up or it can be a great choice out of the bag on the fresh. Either way, this ball has great ball motion and I strongly recommend it!

WOW!!
The first word that comes to mind to describe the new Hammer Effect is WOW!! The Hammer Effect is absolutely beautiful on the lane and off. It continues off the back end of the pattern and never slows down. It is much more ball than I expected out of a pearl. This ball has the new Hammer Huntsman core (best of the Widow and Vibe cores combined) and HK22 Cohesion pearl shell. With limited games thrown it has impressed me like no other. You can miss right and this ball will still recover and retain its energy and hit with power. The ball is extremely versatile on both oily and medium lane conditions. The hype surrounding this ball is real and worth becoming a major player in your bag.

Believe all the hype
With all the hype around this ball I had to give it a try. From the strong mid-lane reaction and huge overall hook to the four-color appearance I was not disappointed. With a new core and HK22 pearl cover I expect this ball to work on a variety of conditions from house to sport. I’m very excited to get this ball into competition.

Yes! Just got the ball 3 days ago, drilled it two days ago, practice twice
I know most people, and what i've seen on the web is the long, and hook hard pin up skid flip layout
with a low rg, higher diff I went with an early max arc, max hook pin down layout. The ball with factory finish does go a little long on a fresh house. the shape is similar to the widow 2.0 but sooner, smoother and continuous. I have the surface at 2500 may give it a bit more to smooth out the shape more on oil. I did play this ball from the left ditch and I mean I was standing in it. I was able to play up the middle and get it to square up to the pocket and knock them all down!! Also plays as a good 4/10 ball. I like the ball so far, but with league ending in just a few weeks, not sure if I will get any real games on the ball. In box finish I could play all sections of the lane, the far right being the least effective for me but as I moved in it played very well. This ball replaced my Radio Active Vibe, you can see the Vibe and Widow shapes. It's hard to describe its almost like an early vibe but the overall boards covered is closer to the Widow. This Effect sits right between my Widow 2.0(skidflip) and Envy Tour(traction) as my continuous ball
The best zones for me with this ball have been 3rd arrow to middle on normal conditions and 5th to left ditch on burned/shorts
Oh it smells like Fast Orange hand cleaner

Hammer Effect
Here is my take on the brand new Hammer Effect. The Effect features a brand new Huntsman asymmetric core (2.47 RG/.50 diff) wrapped by an HK-22 Cohesion Pearl cover. Factory finish is 1500 Siaair finished with Factory Compound. This is the 1st time Hammer is featuring a 4 color coverstock- maroon, blue, black and purple. I drilled mine with a 40 x 4 1/2 x 25 layout and I went over mine with a worn 2000 Siaair pad. I've tested mine on a high volume, 43 foot challenge pattern and fresh THS.
The mainstays in my bags in terms of asymmetric core pieces are the Widow 3.0, Widow 2.0 Hybrid and the Theorem. (For higher volume patterns, the Hammer Envy Tour is also a VERY frequent flyer ). When the Effect was announced, I was very interested in figuring out where the Effect would fit in terms of the 3.0 and Theorem. After trying the Effect, I see it in between the 3.0 and the Theorem. It is earlier than the Theorem but longer and stronger than the 3.0. The motion I see would best be described as length with strong continuation. I see the Hammer Effect as being in play in similar environments as the 3.0 but when the bowler is looking for a little longer and quicker downlane response. It also can easily be an option as a "ball down" from the 3.0 when the 3.0 is going too early. I used the Effect effectively doing just that on our Tuesday night scratch league on our challenge pattern. Plus, I must say the ball has great shelf appeal and looks very sharp going down the lane.
The Hammer Effect is available today. See your local pro shop for more information.

Loving the Hammer Effect!
This ball had a lot of hype to live up to, and it only took a few shots to realize this was a special ball motion. The thing I always fight with strong pearls with my tilt, is that I can't get them to read the mids enough for them to be useful without them hooking early. The Hammer Effect completely eliminated that problem. I left the ball shiny (OOB finish) and it got through the front clean and still read the midlane strong on a decent volume of oil. The ball made a strong arc to the pocket and finished through the deck. Overall, the Hammer Effect has quickly become among my all-time favorite strong pearls and will be in my bag for some time to come.

Hammer Effect
There are usually 1 or 2 new bowling balls a year that I call "special" and early returns show this is one that fits that category. The Hammer Effect for me, in limited games has been really good. It is much more ball than I expected out of a pearl (Cohesion Pearl). It is shiny, but reads the mid-lane very well and continues to rev up thru the pins. The new Huntsman core is supposed to be the best of the Widow & Vibe cores. As I continued left I was surprised to see the ball still splitting the 8-9. Usually the deeper I move the more deflection I get. The eye test was telling me this ball was still exiting the back of the pin deck in a very strong position. The Hammer Effect will be heard from a lot this year. Great looking too.

Wow…….Simply WOW!!!
The new Hammer Effect with the new Huntsman core and the HK22 added to the Cohesion Pearl coverstock is truly something special! It has been some time since I have thrown a ball of this caliber. For a pearlized ball, this ball responds exceptionally well on oily lane conditions. This ball gives a similar ball motion like the Ocean Vibe, but much sooner and stronger off the spot and the HK22 added to the coverstock makes this ball hit like a truck. In comparison to the DV8 Violent Collision, the Hammer Effect moved much sooner in the midlanes, and was much more responsive off the friction. Additionally, you can miss right with this ball and it will still recover and retain its energy and hitting power. I put a 45x4x30 layout in this ball to give continuous ball motion and a very predictable ball shape down lane. This ball is extremely versatile on both oily and medium lane conditions. Believe the hype on this ball and know that everything you are hearing is true. The new Hammer Effect is going to change the game of bowling!

Effect
This might be the best ball of 2024. The Effect is the strongest, shiny cover we’ve ever produced. Compared to a Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid, you will notice more mid-lane traction and more continuation. It’s also the first four-color ball ever designed. Make sure to pre-order yours today.

Hammer Effect
The hammer affect is absolutely beautiful on the lane and off the lane. The colors of the ball really make this ball stand out 4 different colors first of its kind. On the lane it was super clean, going through the front of the lane light and a strong angular motion on the back. For me what made his ball stand out was I was able to miss in the oil and the ball still had enough energy to get the 10 out. I also had miss room to the right.

Customer Questions & Answers | Reviews
Question:
How is it compared to the extreme envy
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This ball has a pearl coverstock and compound finish which gives this more length and a sharper backend hook than the Extreme Envy. This ball is a little more versatile too because it can work in some medium conditions as well as heavy oil and the Extreme Envy is really on good in heavy oil.

Question:
is this ball ok to use on pba tour
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
At time I am answer this the ball is approved for USBC and PBA events. The more recent ban that stands out for the PBA is on more traditional urethane bowling balls older than 2 year old but this coverstock would not fall under that ban.

Question:
The 13# effect has a different core. How well this work on house shots?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The 13lb will still have the same coverstock and finish out of the box to give you great length with a sharp backend hook. However, the weight block will be weaker in this weight so you would not get as strong of a hook potential. The RG numbers of the 13lbs are RG (2.597) DIFF (0.041). The Effect was rated for medium to heavy oil with the 14-16lb weight block but in the 12-13lb weight block it would probably work best in medium conditions.

Question:
Could you please explain the similarities and differences betwwen the Hammer Effect and the 900 Global Harsh Reality Pearl. They should both get down the lane similair, but which has the stronger back end? Thanks,
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
I will compare both options in 15lbs because that is the weight we most commonly show the details for in our product descriptions. Both are high performance balls and both have a pearl coverstock with a polished finish and work well in medium to heavy oil conditions. The Effect will have a slightly duller finish under the compound that is used so that could give the Effect a slightly earlier read. Also the RG value on the Effect (2.47) would read slightly earlier than the Harsh Reality Pearl (2.48). The RG Diff on the Harsh Reality is slightly higher so it will have a slightly higher flare potential. While both are still going to have a strong backend hook I would lean to the Harsh Reality Pearl being a little later and stronger backend than the Effect.
