not for speed dominant players
Just got this ball, Im 6'4 and effortlessly throw 19mph+. tried slowing down, doesnt work well. went with this ball with hopes of hooking potential due to the lack of time the ball has on the lane since its traveling a little quick. it does not move more than 4-5 boards in little oil. idk if it was drilled weird or what but this didnt do what I was hoping it would do. that being said, a 2 time hall of fame female bowler next to me had the same ball and it was hooking perfectly but was thrown much slower. idk if this ball fits a beginner-novice…

Columbia Ricochet Pearl
I decided to pick up a couple of Columbia Ricochet bowling balls. The Ricochet features a low RG/high differential core wrapped by a midnight pearl Micro-Flex coverstock with an HK-22C base. Box surface is 500 Siaair, Factory Compound and then finished with Factory Polish. I've drilled 2- the one in the video below has my favorite pin down layout, 60 x 5 x70. As I usually do with any factory polished ball, I knocked the polish off with a 4000 Siaair pad. I've tried the Ricochet on 2 different recreational patterns.

I’m a left handed bowler. My ball speed is around 14.5 mph. My Rev rate is around 275 rpms. I recently punched up this rock. My layout choice is 40 x 4 1/2 x 70. I was looking for a good layout for a typical house shot. I must say. This ball did not disappoint. With the solid cover and the layout choice. The ball wants to pick up in the mids.
